Inclement Weather Policy:

On days when Portland Public Schools are closed or open late due to inclement weather, DAS follows the same procedures as District employees. We listen to news media reports concerning school closures. If Duniway Elementary is closed, then DAS is closed. If there is a delayed opening, DAS will NOT be open for before-school hours. Pre-K will open when school opens. We will usually be open for after-school hours on those days when school was delayed, as long as the conditions permit.

We will contact parents through email if we have updates to share with you.

If weather conditions deteriorate during the day and a decision is made to close early, we will do our best to contact parents or emergency contacts as soon as possible so that you can arrange to get your child.
